Fabryka Papieru Czerwonak Sp. z o.o. continuous its development in production of high-quality hygienic articles. Our company is located 10km from the city of Poznan . Current headcount is around 90 workers.
Modern production lines and efficient paper machines, motivated staff, high quality standards and products that meet the expectations of the users are the guarantee of our competence as a partner for our customers. For the sake of the environment, we produce only environmentally friendly products.
After more than 70 years in business, in 1998, the plant returned to the family, owing to Mr. Claus Queck – the son of one of its' founders.
Our close relationships with customers as well as seamless co-operation with manufacturers of hygienic articles from Germany and Switzerland, give us flexibility in a fast, reliable and innovative response to market needs.
History
1927
Establishment of the factory by Christian and Ferdinand Queck. Acquisition of land and entry to the commercial register in Poznan.
1928
First paper piece is released from the machine.
1938
Introduction of the second paper machine for the production of cellulose wadding.
1945
Acquisition of the factory by Poznanskie Zaklady Papiernicze. Production of wrapping and toilet paper, cardboard, paper bags and envelopes.
1998
The factory was repurchased by the Queck family (75%) and by Merida Sp. z o. o. company (25%). Production and processing of tissue paper based on paper waste. The new owners carry out an extensive re-organisation and investment programme in the company.
2004
Development of production and storage facilities, launching a new paper machine and packaging line for the production of towels on a roll and folded towels.
2007
Opening of the logistic centre.
Ecology
Fabryka Papieru Czerwonak Sp. z o.o. manufactures its products mostly from 100% recycled paper. Both the raw materials and materials used in the towels and toilet paper production are subject to strict selection and are chosen based on specific and environment-friendly criteria. The waste generated during the manufacturing process, such as shredded paper is subjected to recycling, production water is regenerated and reintroduced. Waste, which cannot be recycled in house, is entrusted to specialised firms.
Through constant modernisation of our Factory and the use of innovative and effective solutions as regarding the product and technology, we show our care for the environment.
In this way we contribute to the protection of natural resources such as wood and water, as well as to the maintenance of ecological balance, among other, through the use of recycled paper.
